In Saturday's league outing, the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars (Oneida, IL), by a margin of 53-30.

The Tornadoes (21-7) will now prepare for their outing against Stark County (Toulon, IL). The Rebels go into the Lincoln Trail outing with a 3-23 record. In their last outing, Stark County was trounced by Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL), 47-28, in a league outing.

The Cougars now own a 7-18 record. They play next when they host Monmouth United for a Lincoln Trail outing on Monday, February 5. ROWVA/Williamsfield will clash with a Red Storm squad coming off a 44-20 league loss to Princeville (Princeville, IL). The Red Storm record now stands at 13-10.
