Michigan High School Basketball - Maplewood Baptist Academy can't hold off Beaver Island

The Beaver Island Islanders basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the visiting Maplewood Baptist Academy Black Bears to 35 in the Islanders non-league victory on Saturday.
The Islanders now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alanson for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 20.
The Black Bears (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Harbor Light Christian (Harbor Springs, MI). The Swordsmen come into the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Harbor Light Christian was nudged by North Michigan Christian Academy (Burt Lake, MI), 57-7, in a league contest.
