The Capitan Tigers basketball team (Capitan, NM), was overwhelmed 43-11 in Saturday's league battle with the host Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM)

The Wildcats now possess a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mescalero Apache for a 2A District 3 battle on Tuesday, February 6. Tularosa will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 56-52 league win over Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM). The Chiefs record now stands at 8-9.

The Tigers (7-14) will now prepare for their battle against Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM). The Bears come into the 2A District 3 battle with a 5-14 record. In their last battle, Cloudcroft trounced Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM), 56-25, in a non-league battle.
