The Gering Bulldogs (Gering, NE) basketball nipped the host Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE), 52-46 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bulldogs (5-14) will now prepare for their test against Mitchell (Mitchell, NE). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 3-17 record. In their last test, Mitchell was tipped by Morrill (Morrill, NE), 62-28, in a non-league test.

The Longhorns now own a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Hitchcock County for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 6. Chase County will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 51-36 non-league win over Arapahoe (Arapahoe, NE). The Falcons record now stands at 8-12.
