Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Clay County Tigers (Manchester, KY), 56-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Whitley County upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Colonels host Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a District 50 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 5-14.

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Lynn Camp Wildcats (Corbin, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Clay County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-17 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 3-19 record after their 47-33 non-league loss to Mount Pisgah Christian Academy (Oliver Springs, TN).
