The Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) basketball nipped the visiting Clayton Yellowjackets (Clayton, NM), 50-44 in Saturday's league test.

The Panthers (15-6) will now prepare for their test against Texico (Texico, NM). The Wolverines go into the 2A District 6 test with a 8-12 record. In their last test, Texico got by Tatum (Tatum, NM), 36-32, in a non-league test.
