Kentucky High School Basketball - Garrard County knocked off by Estill County

The Estill County Engineers basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Garrard County Golden Lions to 45 in the Engineers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Engineers now sport a 11-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Owsley County for a District 56 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Estill County will battle a Owls / Lady Owls team coming off a 66-21 non-league win over Jenkins (Jenkins, KY). The Owls / Lady Owls record now stands at 16-6.
The Golden Lions (7-16) will now prepare for their contest against Danville Christian Academy (Danville, KY). The Warriors enter the District 45 contest with a 19-2 record. In their last bout, Danville Christian Academy toppled Danville (Danville, KY), 69-44, in a league bout.
