St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Iota Bulldogs (Iota, LA), 42-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Thomas More upgrades its record to 15-12 on the season. The Cougars travel to David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-10.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA) in a 3A District 4 bout, on Monday, February 5. Iota will attempt to upgrade on its 15-11 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 1-21 record after their 60-23 non-league loss to Elizabeth (Elizabeth, LA).
