The Jefferson Lions basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Santiam Christian Eagles to 40 in the Lions league victory on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 19-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Taft for a 3A PacWest contest on Tuesday, February 6. Jefferson will battle a Tigers team coming off a 53-28 league loss to Amity (Amity, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 13-9.

The Eagles (8-15) will now prepare for their contest against Amity (Amity, OR). The Warriors come into the 3A PacWest contest with a 18-3 record. In their last contest, Amity triumphed over Sheridan (Sheridan, OR), 68-31, in a league contest.
