In Saturday's non-league outing, the Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) basketball squad beat the host Lewis Mills Spartans (Burlington, CT), by a margin of 40-22.
The Chiefs (11-7) will now prepare for their outing against Thomaston (Thomaston, CT). The Bears go into the Berkshire outing with a 14-3 record. In their last outing, Thomaston defeated Terryville (Terryville, CT), 53-27, in a league outing.
The Spartans now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Maloney for a non-league outing on Monday, February 5. Lewis Mills will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 39-20 league loss to Berlin (Berlin, CT). The Spartans record now stands at 1-14.
