The Spearfish Spartans basketball team (Spearfish, SD), dropped 52-43 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD)
The Kernels now possess a 14-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aberdeen Central for a AA battle on Tuesday, February 6. Mitchell will confront a Golden Eagles team coming off a 46-40 league loss to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, SD). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 8-5.
The Spartans (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Sturgis Brown (Sturgis, SD). The Scoopers come into the AA battle with a 2-10 record. In their last battle, Sturgis Brown dropped by Huron (Huron, SD), 60-54, in a league battle.
