In Saturday's non-league outing, the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels (Forestburg, SD) basketball squad beat the host Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds (Wolsey, SD), by a margin of 53-39.
The Rebels (10-7) will now prepare for their outing against Parkston (Parkston, SD). The Trojans go into the A Region 5 outing with a 11-5 record. In their last outing, Parkston was topped by Tea (Tea, SD), 79-60, in a non-league outing.
The Warbirds now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Iroquois/Lake Preston for a B Region 2 outing on Tuesday, February 6. Wolsey-Wessington will clash with a squad coming off a 58-44 non-league loss to St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD). The record now stands at 7-9.
