The Dakota Cougars trounced the visiting L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders ice hockey squad by a tally of 7-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

With the victory, Dakota betters its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Romeo (Romeo, MI) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 13-3.

The Crusaders now have a 10-10 record. They take the field next when they host Port Huron Northern for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. L'Anse Creuse North will confront a Huskies squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Alpena (Alpena, MI). The Huskies record now stands at 11-8.
