Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Gunn Titans (Palo Alto, CA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs face the Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA) in a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Homestead will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 2-1 league loss to Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA).

The Titans now have a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Clara for a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza challenge on Tuesday, February 6. Gunn will face a Bruins team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Mountain View (Mountain View, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 9-7.
