The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Bogalusa Lumberjacks (Bogalusa, LA) and the visiting St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks (Greensburg, LA), observed Bogalusa's basketball team edge St. Helena College and Career Academy by a margin of 39-37.

The Lumberjacks (4-21) will now prepare for their challenge against Sumner (Kentwood, LA). The Cowboys come into the 3A District 8 challenge with a 4-15 record. In their last challenge, Sumner was tipped by East Feliciana (Jackson, LA), 52-45, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) in a 2A District 9 challenge, on Friday, February 7. St. Helena College and Career Academy will attempt to better on its 18-9 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 56-46 non-league win over Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA).
