The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Griffith Panthers (Griffith, IN) and the visiting Whiting Oilers (Whiting, IN), observed Griffith's basketball team overwhelm Whiting by a score of 72-16.

The Panthers (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Munster (Munster, IN). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 9-6 record. In their last challenge, Munster was routed by Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN), 57-53, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Oilers encounter the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors (Hammond, IN) in a Greater South Shore challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. Whiting will attempt to improve on its 0-14 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 67-49 league win over Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN).
