Virginia High School Basketball - Oscar Smith triumphant over Hickory

The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), observed Oscar Smith's basketball team overwhelm Hickory by a margin of 74-29.

The Tigers (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA). The Cavaliers come into the Southeastern challenge with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, Lakeland was trounced by Hickory (Chesapeake, VA), 85-54, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Hickory will attempt to better on its 7-8 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 66-61 non-league win over Tallwood (Virginia Beach, VA).
