In Monday's non-league test, the Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA) basketball squad got by the host Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA), by a score of 60-58.
Next, the Phoenix clash with the Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) in a Piedmont test, on Friday, February 7. Mecklenburg County will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 7-14 record after their 65-64 league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA).
