In Monday's league contest, the visiting Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers basketball team scored a big 73-45 win over the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers.

The Buccaneers (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, MN). The Tigers come into the AA Section 2 contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Belle Plaine was trounced by Southwest Christian (Chaska, MN), 75-62, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Nicollet Raiders (Nicollet, MN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 6. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva will attempt to better on its 3-17 season record. The Raiders come into the contest with a 9-12 record after their 80-66 non-league win over Mountain Lake/Comfrey (Mountain Lake, MN).
