The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Willow Lions (New Orleans, LA) and the host Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA), observed Willow's basketball team knock off Academy of Our Lady by a score of 42-26.

The Lions (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA). The Swamp Owls come into the 4A District 9 challenge with a 10-17 record. In their last challenge, Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy was knocked off by St. Mary's Dominican (New Orleans, LA), 41-21, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Penguins encounter the Belle Chasse Cardinals (Belle Chasse, LA) in a 4A District 9 challenge, on Thursday, February 6. Academy of Our Lady will attempt to improve on its 6-16 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 9-13 record after their 36-31 non-league loss to Franklinton (Franklinton, LA).
