In Monday's league test, the Pleasant Plains Cardinals (Pleasant Plains, IL) basketball squad trounced the visiting Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), by a score of 61-34.
Next, the Cardinals clash with the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) in a Sangamo test, on Thursday, February 6. Pleasant Plains will attempt to improve on its 20-5 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 21-4 record after their 51-35 league win over Athens (Athens, IL).
The Trojans (15-11) will now prepare for their test against Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league test with a 15-7 record. In their last test, Mt. Pulaski was routed by St. Teresa (Decatur, IL), 43-36, in a non-league test.
