Nebraska High School Basketball - Overton victorious over Axtell

In Monday's non-league contest, the host Overton Eagles basketball team scored a good 52-35 triumph over the Axtell Wildcats.

The Eagles (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wilcox-Hildreth (Wilcox, NE). The Falcons go into the non-league contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Wilcox-Hildreth topped Sumner-Eddyville-Miller (Sumner, NE), 45-20, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Loomis Wolves (Loomis, NE) in a D2 District 6 contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Axtell will attempt to better on its 4-13 season record. The Wolves go into the contest with a 3-17 record after their 71-40 non-league loss to Elm Creek (Elm Creek, NE).
