The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) and the host Chemawa Indian Braves (Salem, OR), observed Western Christian's basketball team overwhelm Chemawa Indian by a score of 54-12.

The Pioneers (17-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Kennedy (Mt. Angel, OR). The Trojans come into the 2A Tri-River challenge with a 9-12 record. In their last challenge, Kennedy was routed by Regis (Stayton, OR), 49-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Braves encounter the Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR) in a 2A Tri-River challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. Chemawa Indian will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-17 record after their 64-24 league loss to Regis (Stayton, OR).
