In Monday's league contest, the host Poyen Indians basketball team scored a big 59-30 win over the Fordyce Redbugs.

The Indians (22-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hampton (Hampton, AR). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Region 8 contest with a 13-15 record. In their last contest, Hampton was trounced by Fordyce (Fordyce, AR), 44-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Redbugs battle the Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, AR) in a 2A Region 8 contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Fordyce will attempt to better on its 5-17 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 13-14 record after their 54-38 league loss to Magnet Cove (Malvern, AR).
