In Monday's league contest, the host Jasper Pirates basketball team scored a big 74-17 triumph over the Mount Judea Eagles.

The Pirates (16-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lead Hill (Lead Hill, AR). The Tigers go into the 1A Region 1 contest with a 4-22 record. In their last contest, Lead Hill was trounced by Kingston (Kingston, AR), 64-12, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Omaha Eagles (Omaha, AR) in a 1A Region 1 contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Mount Judea will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 7-9 record after their 78-36 league loss to Jasper (Jasper, AR).
