The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the McKinley Red Dragons (Niles, OH) and the host Struthers Wildcats (Struthers, OH), observed McKinley's basketball team overcome Struthers by a margin of 47-38.

The Red Dragons (11-9) will now prepare for their challenge against South Range (Canfield, OH). The Raiders come into the Northeast Eight challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, South Range dropped by Poland Seminary (Poland, OH), 35-28, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Lakeview Bulldogs (Cortland, OH) in a Northeast Eight challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Struthers will attempt to better on its 6-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 59-56 league loss to Girard (Girard, OH).
