The Rhea County Golden Eagles basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Sequoyah Chiefs to 33 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.

The Golden Eagles now possess a 15-8 record. They play next when they travel to Walker Valley for a 4A District 5 game on Friday, February 7.

With the loss, Sequoyah falls to 4-14 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Seymour (Seymour, TN) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 14-8. Seymour lost 45-37 in their recent league game against Northview Academy (Kodak, TN)
