The Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles (Albany, GA) basketball edged the host Tiftarea Academy Panthers (Chula, GA), 41-35 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 11-8 record. They play next when they travel to Southwest Georgia Academy for a GIAA AA Region 3 bout on Friday, February 7.

With the loss, Tiftarea Academy falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Panthers host Deerfield-Windsor (Albany, GA) to play the Knights in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 10-13. Deerfield-Windsor lost 51-24 in their recent non-league bout against Westfield School (Perry, GA)
