In Monday's non-league contest, the host Charlottesville Black Knights basketball team scored a good 55-35 win over the Monticello Mustangs.
The Black Knights (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Goochland dropped by Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA), 26-12, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 48-34 non-league loss to Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA).
