The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) and the visiting Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC), observed West Carteret's basketball team overwhelm Richlands by a margin of 56-33.

The Patriots (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Dixon was trounced by Croatan (Newport, NC), 55-12, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Richlands will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 37-19 non-league loss to West Carteret (Morehead City, NC).
