The East Columbus Gators basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting West Columbus Vikings to 62 in the Gators non-league triumph on Monday.

The Gators now have a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Pender for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. East Columbus will confront a Patriots team coming off a 56-26 league win over South Columbus (Tabor City, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, West Columbus falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Vikings host Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC) to confront the Titans in a game on Tuesday, February 4. The Titans go into the game with a record of 8-6. Heide Trask won 68-62 in their recent non-league game against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC)
