In Monday's league contest, the host Franklinton Red Rams basketball team scored a close 58-57 triumph over the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets.
The Red Rams (12-2) will now prepare for their battle against Northern Nash (Rocky Mount, NC). The Knights enter the battle with a 13-0 record. In their last battle, Northern Nash tipped Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC), 64-58, in a league battle.
The Yellowjackets now own a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rocky Mount for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 4. Roanoke Rapids will meet a Gryphons squad coming off a 59-41 non-league win over Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 3-5.
