The George Wythe Maroons basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Galax Maroon Tide to 24 in the Maroons non-league triumph on Monday.

The Maroons now possess a 12-0 record. They play next when they travel to Grayson County for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 5. George Wythe will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 35-7 non-league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-12.

With the loss, Galax falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Maroon tide travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to confront the Pioneers in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4. The Pioneers go into the game with a record of 10-8. Fort Chiswell lost 46-29 in their recent non-league game against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA)
