The James F. Byrnes Rebels basketball team scored 43 points and limited the host Spartanburg Vikings to 41 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Monday.
The Rebels now have a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside for a non-league game on Wednesday, February 5. James F. Byrnes will confront a Warriors team coming off a 34-24 non-league win over Eastside (Taylors, SC). The Warriors record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, Spartanburg falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Vikings host Gaffney (Gaffney, SC) to confront the Indians in a non-league game on Thursday, February 6. The Indians go into the game with a record of 0-11.
