Fans at Monday's league battle between the Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) and the host Verdugo Hills Dons (Tujunga, CA), saw Grant's soccer squad hold off Verdugo Hills by a count of 2-1.

The Lancers (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Arleta (Arleta, CA). The Mustangs enter the East Valley battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Arleta was edged by Poly (Sun Valley, CA), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the Dons battle the Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA) in a East Valley battle, on Wednesday, February 5. Verdugo Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 11-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Monroe (North Hills, CA).
