Battle Lake Battlers (Battle Lake, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Parkers Prairie Panthers (Parkers Prairie, MN), 66-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Battle Lake upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Battlers travel to Frazee (Frazee, MN) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 8. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Frazee lost 68-35 in their recent league bout against Perham (Perham, MN)

Next up, the Panthers play the West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Parkers Prairie will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 80-61 non-league loss to Hancock (Hancock, MN).
