Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL) and the visiting Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL), saw Waterloo's basketball squad hold off Civic Memorial by a tally of 40-35.
With the victory, Waterloo improves its record to 16-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Salem (Salem, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 12-12. Salem won 64-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL)
Next up, the Eagles play the Roxana Shells (Roxana, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 8. Civic Memorial will attempt to improve on its 5-20 season record. The Shells come into the challenge with a 5-20 record after their 54-42 league loss to East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL).
