The Union Red Hawks basketball team (Grand Rapids, MI), was nudged 47-41 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Mona Shores Sailors (Norton Shores, MI)
The Sailors now possess a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Zeeland West for a Ottawa-Kent - Green battle on Tuesday, February 8. Mona Shores will battle a Dux team coming off a 59-17 league loss to Muskegon (Muskegon, MI). The Dux record now stands at 7-6.
The Red Hawks (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Williamston (Williamston, MI). The Hornets come into the non-league battle with a 14-0 record. In their last battle, Williamston edged Fowlerville (Fowlerville, MI), 78-40, in a league battle.
