In Friday's league outing, the Penncrest Lions (Media, PA) basketball squad beat the host Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA), by a count of 48-35.
The Lions (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Marple Newtown (Newtown Square, PA). The Fightin' Tigers go into the Central outing with a 6-6 record.
The Cougars now hold a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Henderson for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 5. Springfield will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 71-47 league win over Avon Grove (West Grove, PA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-7.
