Fans at Friday's league challenge between the North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) and the host Enka Jets (Enka, NC), saw North Buncombe's basketball squad hold off Enka by a tally of 58-56.

With the victory, North Buncombe improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Black Hawks host McDowell (Marion, NC) to play the Titans in a 3A/4A Conference 53 challenge on Saturday, February 5. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 5-12. McDowell lost 53-41 in their recent league challenge against Asheville (Asheville, NC)

Next up, the Jets play the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 7. Enka will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 61-52 league loss to Franklin (Franklin, NC).
