New Mexico High School Basketball - Questa overwhelmed by Penasco

The Penasco Panthers basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Questa Wildcats to 36 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mora for a 2A District 5 contest on Saturday, February 5. Penasco will battle a Rangers/Rangerettes team coming off a 72-61 league loss to Questa (Questa, NM). The Rangers/Rangerettes record now stands at 2-12.
The Wildcats (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM). The Lobos come into the 2A District 5 contest with a 13-3 record. In their last contest, Escalante was routed by Sanford (Sanford, CO), 62-58, in a non-league contest.
