The Perquimans Pirates basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Tarboro Vikings to 44 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.
In their next game, the Pirates face the Riverside-Martin Knights (Williamston, NC) in a 1A Conference 2 game, on Saturday, February 5. Perquimans will attempt to move on its 16-2 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 5-11 record after their 42-15 league win over Gates County (Gatesville, NC).
With the defeat, Tarboro moves to 10-4 on the year. The Vikings host Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC) to face the Trojans in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 8. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 14-3. Southeast Halifax won 40-32 in their recent league game against Northampton County (Gaston, NC)
