In Friday's league outing, the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC), by a count of 60-36.
The Pioneers (15-3) will now prepare for their outing against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots go into the outing with a 5-2 record.
The Panthers now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Alexander Central for a outing on Tuesday, February 8. Hibriten will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 50-29 league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 8-8.
