McCook Bison (McCook, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ainsworth Bulldogs (Ainsworth, NE), 60-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, McCook upgrades its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Bison travel to Gering (Gering, NE) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 10-9. Gering won 72-50 in their recent non-league bout against Chase County (Imperial, NE)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Stuart Broncos (Stuart, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Ainsworth will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Broncos come into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 43-39 non-league win over Boyd County (Spencer, NE).
