Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Perrydale Pirates (Amity, OR) and the host Alsea Wolverines (Alsea, OR), saw Perrydale's basketball squad overcome Alsea by a tally of 56-43.

With the victory, Perrydale improves its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Oregon School for the Deaf (Salem, OR) to confront the Panthers in a 1A Casco challenge on Monday, February 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-15. Oregon School for the Deaf lost 68-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Washington School for the Deaf (Vancouver, WA)

Next up, the Wolverines confront the Mapleton Sailors (Mapleton, OR) in a 1A Mountain West challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Alsea will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record.
