Belton Tigers (Belton, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Waco Lions (Waco, TX), 69-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Belton upgrades its record to 23-8 on the season. The Tigers host Killeen (Killeen, TX) to clash with the Kangaroos in a 5A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Kangaroos go into the bout with a record of 7-22. Killeen lost 67-58 in their recent league bout against Lake Belton (Temple, TX)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Shoemaker Wolves (Killeen, TX) in a 5A Region III District 22 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Waco will attempt to upgrade on its 5-21 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 11-20 record after their 62-40 league loss to Ellison (Killeen, TX).
