The Callisburg Wildcats basketball team (Gainesville, TX), was toppled 39-29 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX)
The Lions now possess a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host S & S Consolidated for a 3A Region II District 10 battle on Tuesday, February 7. Ponder will confront a Rams team coming off a 78-35 league loss to Boyd (Boyd, TX). The Rams record now stands at 2-23.
The Wildcats (11-19) will now prepare for their battle against Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX). The Bearcats come into the 3A Region II District 10 battle with a 12-12 record. In their last battle, Whitesboro beat Valley View (Valley View, TX), 65-24, in a league battle.
