Kansas High School Basketball - Cheylin thwarts Weskan

The Cheylin Cougars (Bird City, KS) basketball knocked off the visiting Weskan Coyotes (Weskan, KS), 49-31 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cougars (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Rawlins County (Atwood, KS). The Buffaloes go into the Northwest Kansas test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Rawlins County went down by Dundy County-Stratton (Benkelman, NE), 78-55, in a non-league test.

The Coyotes now own a 10-5 record. They play next when they host Bethune for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. Weskan will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 43-41 non-league win over Weldon Valley (Weldona, CO). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-9.
