The Malakoff Tigers (Malakoff, TX) basketball felled the visiting Eustace Bulldogs (Eustace, TX), 54-44 in Saturday's league test.

The Tigers (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Kemp (Kemp, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the 3A Region III District 18 test with a 18-11 record. In their last test, Kemp thwarted Rice (Rice, TX), 65-30, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 7-21 record. They play next when they travel to Mildred for a 3A Region III District 18 test on Tuesday, February 7. Eustace will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 67-61 league loss to Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 11-17.
