Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Okawville Rockets (Okawville, IL), 60-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gibault Catholic upgrades its record to 21-6 on the season. The Hawks travel to Granite City (Granite City, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 14-12. Granite City lost 44-31 in their recent non-league bout against Carbondale (Carbondale, IL)

Next up, the Rockets play the New Athens Yellow Jackets (New Athens, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Okawville will attempt to upgrade on its 9-18 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a 12-13 record after their 70-49 non-league loss to Wesclin (Trenton, IL).
